Dallas Sports Franchise Investor Arctos Inks $1.4B Deal To Be Acquired by KKR

Founded in 2019, Arctos Partners has stakes in teams across the NFL, NBA, Major League Baseball, the NHL, Major League Soccer, and beyond. In 2024, Arctos raised more than $4.1 billion in capital commitments for its flagship sports fund. With the KKR acquisition, "we'll become an even stronger partner to the markets and investors that we serve, which has been our goal from the very beginning," said Arctos' co-founders.

Arctos says it's the only private investment firm approved to own equity across all five major North American professional leagues. Now its new business line, Arctos Capital Markets, aims to help high net-worth investors connect directly with professional sports ownership opportunities. "Our goal is simple: be the first call,” said Arctos' Doc O’Connor.

The private investment firm said its Arctos Sports Partners Fund II has already been 30% deployed in investments in entities that own the Utah Jazz, New Jersey Devils, Philadelphia 76ers, the Paris Saint-Germain soccer team, and the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team.
