Report: Dallas Among the Best Places in the U.S. for ‘Wellness Workcations’

Many people have begun to work remotely while they travel—whether they're discovering America or exploring the world. Icelandair calls that a “wellness workcation,” and it's released a list of the best destinations in the U.S. to take one. It placed Dallas at No. 7 on the list—making it the only Texas city to appear in the Top 10.

CompTIA: Despite Tech Job Postings Declining, Metro Dallas Holds Onto Its No. 3 Spot
Despite turmoil in the markets and layoffs making headlines, the tech job market remains relatively strong in Dallas, according to a new report.

Across the country, technology companies added 20,300 net new workers in June, marking the 19th consecutive month of growth, according to nonprofit CompTIA’s latest Tech Jobs Report. And among metros, Dallas ranks among the top three for new job postings, though the number of new jobs added month-over-month has declined.

The Dallas region jumped up 11 spots on the list since 2016, thanks to its many assets and its recovery from the worst of the pandemic. Dallas' highest ranking on the list is in real estate investment, where it placed No. 3, behind only Los Angeles and New York City.

CBRE Report: DFW Leads the U.S. in Multifamily Real Estate Investments

A new report from Dallas-based CRE services and investment firm CBRE shows that DFW was No. 1 in the U.S. in multifamily investments over the last four quarters. Nationwide, Q1 2022 saw the strongest multifamily absorption since 2000. And Texas is leading the U.S. in multifamily completions, as rent growth continues to gain momentum. “The rise in demand has been fueled by household formation, job and wage growth, and sharply rising home prices,” the report said.
