Bush Presidential Center—will connect investors from all over the U.S with the “best founders in our region” with the goal of sparking “collisions” and “meaningful connections," co-founder Aaron Pierce says. Blake Wiley and Grant Christopher reviewed 300 companies before deciding on the CPG fund's first 3 "disrupter" investments—Austin-based Tiff's Treats; Chicago cloud-kitchen startup Epic Kitchens; and a California plant-based supplements firm.
As the VCs search for five more startups, they believe co-investing will triple their fund's holdings to $45 million.
