UTSW, UTA Professors Get NIH Grant for Early Detection of Brain Swelling in Newborns

The scientists' joint research could help lead to early detection of babies at risk of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, which occurs when oxygen or blood flow to the brain is reduced or stopped at birth.
