As It Opens New Park in Southern Dallas, Trust for Public Land Launches $100M Campaign to Expand Parks Across City

The Greener Dallas Greater Dallas campaign will further expand TPL's efforts to create 18 parks with 17 miles of trails and 283 acres of preserved wilderness, the nonprofit said. The announcement came at Saturday's opening of theJudge Charles R. Rose Community Park, a 40-acre green space along the Five Mile Creek Greenbelt.

The "exceptional green haven" features hike and bike trails amid more than 50,000 trees. Wednesday's vote by the Dallas City Council will preserve the southwestern Dallas property in perpetuity, ensuring that future generations of Dallas residents can enjoy the benefits of nature the city has to offer.
