Securonix Appoints Industry Veteran as its Chief Financial Officer

Jerry Raphael has more than 20 years of experience in strategic finance and global operations and has guided cybersecurity and enterprise software companies through multiple funding rounds and periods of hypergrowth. Securonix is a leader in Next-Gen security information and event management (SIEM), User and event behavior analytics (UEBA), and security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR).

Securonix Inc. has appointed Jerry Raphael as chief financial officer, responsible for growing and scaling the Addison-based company’s global organization to help lead its next phase of growth and deepen its commitment to driving incremental value for customers and partners.

The company is a leader in Next-Gen security information and event management (SIEM), user and event behavior analytics (UEBA), and security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR).

Securonix CEO Nayaki Nayyar says it’s essential for the company to have experienced industry leaders in key positions to support and speed up its growth. “Jerry is an innovative leader with a wealth of experience in cybersecurity and high-growth companies, making him uniquely positioned to help Securonix rapidly scale profitably,” he said in a statement.

Nayyar looks forward to collaborating with Raphael as they continue providing exceptional value and service to their global enterprise clients who depend on them to address their toughest cybersecurity issues.

Raphael has more than 20 years of experience in strategic finance and global operations and has guided cybersecurity and enterprise software companies through multiple funding rounds and periods of hypergrowth.

Most recently, Raphael was chief financial officer of Axonius, a leader in cybersecurity asset management, where he helped the organization achieve unicorn status.

Before that, Raphael was CFO at Stack Overflow, an enterprise SaaS knowledge share platform for developers and technologists. Raphael led Stack Overflow through international expansion, brought the company to profitability, and helped facilitate its sale to Prosus for $1.8 billion.

Along with serving in leadership roles at Vibrant Media and World Wrestling Entertainment, he spent 10 years at Grant Thornton advising clients on SEC regulations as they took their companies public.

“The business trajectory ahead of Securonix made this role an incredibly compelling opportunity,” Raphael said in a statement.

He was drawn by the team’s extensive experience, track record of pioneering innovation in the SIEM market, and the outstanding relationships Securonix has established with its clients and partners, he says. “It’s a privilege to join the company at such a critical time.”

Securonix said its platform is purpose-built to defend against advanced threats in today’s complex hybrid environments.
