Pillar Clinical Research, a multi-specialty clinical research site network based in Richardson, has named Zach Mitchell as its new Chief Commercial Officer. According to the company’s announcement, Mitchell will lead Pillar’s commercial functions and strategy, focusing on promoting research as a care option through community outreach initiatives.

Founded in 2008, Pillar Clinical Research conducts early- and late-phase trials for inpatient and outpatient clinical studies. The company said it distinguishes itself through superior research services, exceptional participant care, and dedication to advancing pharmaceutical development.

According to PIllar, Mitchell’s appointment reinforces the company’s commitment to innovating the clinical research landscape and improving benefits for all stakeholders.

Mitchell brings extensive experience in the clinical research industry to his new role. The company noted that his background spans operations, business development, and project management across multiple therapeutic indications and phases. Most recently, Mitchell served as executive director of strategic partnerships for CenExel Clinical Research. Prior to that, he was director of business operations for iResearch Atlanta, where his leadership contributed to a successful acquisition in 2021, according to Pillar.
