The future of retail will be on full display at the Retail Innovation Lounge Sept. 26-28 at the Dallas Entrepreneur Center (DEC) in the West End.
More than 30 speakers are expected to appear over the three-day event representing companies such as Nebraska Furniture Mart, The Container Store, GameStop, Simon Venture Group, and Neiman Marcus.
The series will focus on how technology has transformed retail in recent years, the growth of e-commerce and how the two can co-exist.
Many of the seminars will focus on digital marketing and how that ties into have a social media presence and creating an experience for consumers. There will be a special Internet of Things panel discussion and a special panel with hot startups.
On Monday, the schedule includes a fireside chat with Treehouse Chairman Garrett Boone titled “How Treehouse is Changing the Home Building and Remodeling Paradigm.” The chat will be led by David Matthews, managing director of RevTech.
TreeHouse is the Austin-based specialty store chain that caters to environmentally conscious homeowners.
Among the offerings on Tuesday are session such as “Retail Transformation Roadmap: Customers are in the Driver’s Seat, Retailers Ride Shotgun,” and “Innovating Luxury Retail Experience.”
Also on Tuesday, Lee Summers, marketing technology manager for Nebraska Furniture Mark will host a session on “Nebraska Furniture Mart’s Mission for Interactive Engagement.”
On Wednesday, EnTouch CEO Greg Fasull will host a panel on “Retail Technology and the Customer Experience.” Wednesday afternoon, Michal Zung, marketing director of Fung Global, will give the opening keynote.
This event is not to be confused with the National Retail Federation’s Digital Summit Sept. 26-28 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. There will be a free shuttle back and forth between the two events.
