Connect and Unite at DSW20: Registration for Dallas Startup Week 2020 is Now Open

This year's Dallas Startup Week will take place from April 26 through May 1, with its basecamp location at Gilley's Dallas.

Over the course of six days, The Dallas Entrepreneur Center’s annual keystone event will host 100-plus sessions across 16 tracks with the goal to connect and unite startups, founders, corporate and social innovators, investors, and community leaders. The theme for the sixth Annual Dallas Startup Week is “Your Time. Your Dream. Your Community.”

Registration is now open for DSW20, which includes its free general sessions and summits. DSW’s special events and programs like Women of Innovation and Disrupt Dallas will require separate registrations later on.

After people register, they can use the Attendify app to start building their DSW20 schedules, speak with other attendees, and receive updates from the team during the week.

Like last year, DSW20 will kick off with Disrupt Dallas on April 26, an event celebrating champions and disruptors and providing education and programming for minority entrepreneurs. The Official Launch Party & Startup Crawl will take place on the following day featuring local startups.

On April 28, the Premiere Keynote Event will be at Sixty Five Hundred. The Women of Innovation Summit and the State of Entrepreneurship are taking place on April 29. Digital Fight Club will be making its DSW debut on April 30 and the Corporate Startup Innovation Summit will finish off the week at Capital One in Plano on May 1.

This year’s lineup of speakers hasn’t been announced yet, but has included Mark Cuban, Craig Hall, and Rent My Wardrobe founder Rachel Sipperley, among many others, during past DSWs.

In December, The DEC, a nonprofit organization focused on supporting innovation and entrepreneurship in Dallas, announced it would move DSW’s basecamp to Gilley’s Dallas in The Cedars in order to support the annual event’s growth.

Bill Chinn, CEO of The DEC, thinks that’s one of the most important changes for 2020. “As a one-site solution,” the move to Gilley’s means “people will stay longer and attend more events,” he says. “I think we’ll see double-digit increases in the number of attendees.”
