Wiley X, a Frisco-based global maker of premium protective eyewear, has opened its first brick-and-mortar retail store at the company’s global headquarters.
The family-owned company relocated its HQ from Livermore, California, to Frisco in 2023, opening a 65,000-square-foot home base in North Texas. Located at 15755 Preston Road in Frisco, the company’s new Wiley X Pro Shop is now open Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The company said its new flagship store gives customers a hands-on opportunity to explore the brand’s full line of performance eyewear while learning about the advanced tech behind each product. Guests can try out the “clarity and color-enhancing benefits” of CAPTIVATE polarized lenses, learn about the “rigorous safety standards” met by Wiley X frames, and get a closer look at the brand’s blend of innovation and protection.
“Frisco has been an incredible home for Wiley X, and opening the Pro Shop here is an exciting next step in our journey,” CEO Dan Freeman said in a statement.
“This space allows us to connect directly with our community and showcase the craftsmanship, technology, and purpose that go into every pair of glasses we make,” he added. “Whether you’re a first responder, an outdoor enthusiast, or just someone looking for everyday eyewear, we want people to experience the Wiley X difference for themselves.”

Meeting high velocity and ballistic eye protection standards
Founded by military veteran Myles Freeman Sr. in 1987, Wiley X says all its adult sunglasses meet ANSI Z87.1 High Velocity and High Mass Impact Safety Standards, for protection that goes “far beyond the harmful rays of the sun.” Several styles also meet U.S. military MIL-PRF-32432 (GL) standards for ballistic eye protection—one reason why the company has been a leading provider of vision protection equipment to the U.S. military and law enforcement for more than 30 years.
