Scenes from Aurora Dallas 2018

Light it up: Aurora illuminated downtown Dallas this weekend with its public exhibitions of light, video, and sound. People were able to view and interact with 17 installations, all exploring what the future of the world might look like.

Aurora, Dallas’ biennial light and sound art festival, was held on Saturday night in the city’s civic center. This year, the free outdoor art display took on the theme of “Future Worlds.” Streets were closed around City Hall and the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, and a brief but powerful storm temporarily interrupted the event mid-evening. But no matter, the show must go on. Here’s the photographic proof.
