With six months to go before the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, EarthxFilm announced Paul Levatino as its executive producer. To commemorate the Earth Day milestone next year, EarthxFilm will screen environmental films from April 17-26, 2020, in conjunction with the EarthX Expo and Conferences.
“I met Paul 20 years ago while working with the Deep Ellum Film Festival when he was on the board,” said Michael Cain, President of EarthxFilm, in a statement. “Since then, he’s become a proven force for bringing big ideas to life for artists, which is what we do at EarthxFilm as we honor and showcase the filmmakers bringing the big issues our planet faces to life on screen. His leadership, charisma, and collaboration will help our filmmakers and partners turn our environmental ambitions into reality.”
Levatino comes to EarthxFilm with more than 20 years of experience with activations, concerts, festivals, events, commercials, and videos. He spent more than 10 years working with Erykah Badu as director of marketing and publicity, and live production manager before becoming general manager for Badu World, Inc.
