Abstract: Apparatus and methods for sampling air-borne particles. According to one embodiment a nozzle is used to generate a jet of fog that includes a gas and liquid droplets. The jet of fog is formed by the nozzle in a way to cause particles in the air surrounding the jet of fog to be drawn into the jet of fog and to further cause the particles to aggregate with the liquid droplets inside the jet of fog. A sample collecting surface is located opposite and spaced apart from an outlet of the nozzle. The sample collecting surface is preferably sloped so that the liquid sample can be forced by gravity off the collecting surface and into a liquid sample container. Inside the jet of fog and on the sample collection surface the liquid droplets merge with one another to form larger sized droplets that are collectable in the liquid sample container.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer-readable medium for consolidating multiple databases into a single or a smaller number of databases is described. An improved structure of target database may be achieved by removing constraints used when creating legacy databases. According to some aspects, these and other benefits may be achieved by combining multiple source tables into a single target table with errors being identified and addressed during the creation of the instructions to generate the target table. In implementation, this may be effected by converting values from a source table and values from a target table into normalized versions of those values and then comparing the normalized values. A benefit includes verifying that the data from the source table is being properly reflected in the target table.

In response to extracting responsive data from the big data sources, the present invention implements statistical computing to determine a go/no-go indicator that indicates either that (i) the user is unlikely to renounce (i.e., abandon, fail to use and/or return) the object post-resource event, or (ii) the user is likely to renounce (i.e., abandon, fail to use and/or return) the object post-resource event. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is used to analyze previous likelihood of renunciation determinations to determine a confidence level which is used in the statistical computation of the go/no-go indicator.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, obtaining a session record including properties visited by a consumer during a sample period and extracting, from the session record, a select group of properties associated with a particular category of a predetermined taxonomy of various marketplaces. A breadth value of the select group of properties visited during the sample period is determined according to a number of unique properties of the select group of properties. A depth value of the properties visited during the sample period is also determined according to an extent of consumer interaction with content of properties of the select group of properties. A change point, indicating a state transition along a purchase cycle, is determined based on variations in distributions more than one of the breadth, depth, and recency values without relying on an assumption of a specific parametric family. Other embodiments are disclosed.

High electron mobility transistors (HEMTS) including a yttrium (Y) and aluminum nitride (AIN) (YAIN) alloy layer
Patent No. 12166118

Inventor(s): Antonio Lucero (Garland, TX), Edward Beam, III (Plano, TX), Jinqiao Xie (Allen, TX)
Assignee(s): Qorvo US, Inc. (Greensboro, NC)
Law Firm: Withrow Terranova, P.L.L.C. (1 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 17570600 on 01/07/2022 (1068 days app to issue)

Abstract: A layer of yttrium (Y) and aluminum nitride (AlN) is employed as a back-barrier to improve confinement of electrons within a channel layer of a high electron mobility transistor (HEMT). As HEMT dimensions are reduced and a channel length decreases, current control provided by a gate also decreases, and it becomes more difficult to ‘’pinch-off’’ current flow through the channel. A back-barrier layer on a back side of the channel layer improves confinement of electrons to improve pinch-off but does not cause a second 2DEG to be formed below the back-barrier layer. The YAlN layer can be lattice-matched to the channel layer to avoid lattice strain, and a thin layer of YAlN provides less thermal resistance than HEMTs made with thicker back-barrier materials. Due to its chemical nature, a YAlN layer can be used as an etch stop layer.

Abstract: A method of user equipment (UE) for random access operation in a wireless communication system is provided. The method comprises receiving, from a base station (BS), random access channel (RACH) configuration information including RACH chunk information corresponding to at least one antenna beam including a beam identifier (ID), determining a RACH chunk based on the RACH configuration information received from the BS, transmitting, to the BS, a RACH preamble on the determined RACH chunk according to the RACH configuration information associated with the beam ID, and receiving, from the BS, a RACH response (RAR) corresponding to the transmitted RACH preamble and a downlink channel for a RAR transmission, wherein a random access-radio network temporary identification (RA-RNTI) is calculated based on an index of a slot and an index of the RACH chunk on which the RACH preamble is transmitted.
