Patent No. 12011688

Inventor(s): Paul L. Rogers (McKinney, TX)
Assignee(s): UNASSIGNED
Law Firm: bob,harter.com (Local + 4395 other metros)

Abstract: A gas processing system for recovering methane gas from a landfill includes a high pressure main absorber plus a relatively low pressure one. The low pressure absorber receives a gas stream from an equally low pressure flash tank. This low pressure gas stream consists mostly of carbon dioxide and methane. The methane would normally be lost due to the high cost of recompressing the carbon dioxide, but by running this mixture of carbon dioxide and methane through the low pressure absorber with a slip stream of cold absorbent, a large portion of the carbon dioxide can be removed with negligible methane losses. The remaining methane can be recycled through the high pressure main absorber without having to recompress the removed portion of carbon dioxide.

Downhole chemical reactor and gas generator with passive or active control
Patent No. 12012813

Inventor(s): James Dan Vick, Jr. (Dallas, TX), Michael Linley Fripp (Carrollton, TX)
Assignee(s): HALLIBURTON ENERGY SERVICES, INC. (Houston, TX)
Law Firm: NOVAK DRUCE CARRROLL LLP (8 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 17738201 on 05/06/2022 (774 days app to issue)

Abstract: A downhole chemical reactor can be placed in a downhole environment to generate gas in-situ. This gas can pressurize an inner pressure chamber of the downhole chemical reactor to create a pressure-on-demand source or to maintain a constant pressure reservoir, depending on the configuration of a reactor controller coupled to an inlet of the inner pressure chamber. The inner pressure chamber contains one or more desired chemical reactants and the reactor controller operates to permit well fluid to flow from the wellbore and into the inner pressure chamber. The well fluid reacts with the desired chemical reactants and generates one or more gases such as hydrogen or carbon dioxide. The generated gases pressurize the inner pressure chamber and a pressure regulator coupled to the inner pressure chamber maintains a maximum pressurization of the inner pressure chamber. For a constant pressure reservoir, the reactor controller repeats this cycle indefinitely.

Abstract: A computer system generates a hierarchical evolutionary tree of digests of sample files. The digests are generated using a locality sensitive hashing function. The digests are grouped into several clusters, and the clusters are grouped into several nodes. The nodes are connected in hierarchical order to generate the hierarchical evolutionary tree. A digest of a file being evaluated for malware is generated using the locality sensitive hashing function. The digest is put in a cluster of the hierarchical evolutionary tree having digests that are most similar to the digest relative to digests of other clusters of the hierarchical evolutionary tree. The digest is identified to be of the same malware family as the digests of the cluster.

Abstract: A memory apparatus and method of operation are provided. The apparatus includes memory cells connected to word lines and arranged in strings. Each of the strings has a drain-side select gate transistor on a drain-side connected to one of a plurality of bit lines. A control means is coupled to the word lines and the plurality of bit lines and the drain-side select gate transistors. The control means determines a unique select gate voltage for each of a plurality of groupings of the memory cells that is individually adapted for each of the plurality of groupings. The control means then applies the unique select gate voltage to the drain-side select gate transistor of selected ones of the strings of each of the plurality of groupings of the memory cells to turn on the drain-side select gate transistor of the selected ones of the strings during a memory operation.
