NTT DATA has been selected by the Texas Department of Information Resources to deliver seamless public cloud managed services across the state as part of a multi-year agreement designed to accelerate digital transformation across Texas by simplifying how customers procure, use, and manage cloud resources.
NTT DATA is part of Tokyo-based NTT Group and has its North American headquarters in Plano.
“Texas is not just our North American headquarters—it’s a hub of innovation and leadership,” Beth Howen, divisional president of State, Local and Education at NTT DATA North America, said in a statement. “We’re proud to support the state’s forward-thinking public service initiatives with AI-powered cloud and digital solutions.”
NTT DATA said it will serve as the Public Cloud Manager for the Department of Information Resources’ diverse multi-cloud estate that spans AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, the company said. It said that by replicating proven models from previous large-scale public sector engagements, NTT DATA will deliver scalable, consumption-based services that drive efficiency, transparency and innovation, the company said.
