Veteran financial executive Jim Sharp has been appointed chief financial officer of Extenet, a privately held, Frisco-based digital infrastructure provider.
His appointment is effective Oct. 1.
“We’re delighted to welcome Jim to the Extenet team,” Rich Coyle, the company’s president and CEO, said in a statement. “His vast experience and track record in financial leadership will be invaluable as we continue to expand our market presence and innovate within the digital infrastructure industry.”
Sharp will be based in Frisco overseeing Extenet’s financial strategy and capital markets activities and driving long-term growth objectives. The company said Sharp’s appointment underscores its commitment to strategic growth.
Sharp brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles, including SVP of finance and financial reporting at Austin-based Amherst, where he was instrumental in enhancing the company’s financial operations and strategic planning, Extenet said. Sharp’s career also includes significant roles as CFO and treasurer at TIER REIT Inc., and senior positions with Behringer Harvard and Ernst & Young.
“Extenet has a strong foundation and an ambitious vision for the future, and I’m thrilled to be part of a team driving innovation and growth in the telecom industry,” Sharp said in a statement. “I look forward to working closely with the teams and contributing to the company’s ongoing successes.”
