Patrick J. Stewart has been appointed chief operations officer of Carrollton-based Ace Virtual Shooting, a virtual reality-based dry-fire handgun training and shooting simulator.
In his new role, Stewart will oversee day-to-day business operations, product development, and strategic planning to spur the company’s continued growth and will work closely with the leadership team to develop skill building innovations and expand the Ace community.
“Patrick’s expertise in building virtual reality businesses and growing thriving user communities will serve Ace well in our mission to create the world’s largest shooting community,” Conor Donahue, CEO and co-founder at Ace Virtual Shooting, said in a statement. “His leadership will help us expand our operations, take care of our members, and position Ace Virtual Shooting for long-term success.”
The company said Stewart brings more than a decade of executive leadership in finance and operations.
Most recently, Stewart was CFO of WIN Reality Inc., a leading VR baseball hitting simulator, where he led its rapid growth and expansion into new customer groups. His past experience includes spearheading growth capital fundraising and managing strategic partnerships including with Major League Baseball.
According to Ace, Steward is a recreational shooting enthusiast who brings a servant leadership ethos to Ace which was honed during his years serving as a helicopter rescue swimmer in the United States Navy.
