Bringing together art, light, video, and sound, Nocturne—known as the “art walk after dark”—returns May 8–9 to Frisco Commons Park. The event’s host, Play Frisco, calls the event “two evenings of dreamlike encounters with art, nature, and the unseen.”
The outdoor gallery event features light, video, and sound installations nestled among the park’s winding trails. Created as a night-time art trail immersed in nature, the experience “invites reflection, play, and a heightened awareness of the world after dusk,” Play Frisco says.

Produced by the team behind AURORA, a Dallas biennial after-dark art and performance showcase that’s returning to Downtown Dallas this November, Nocturne highlights the park’s natural landscape—covering more than 60 acres—while bringing it new life. The art installations are inspired the night’s subtle rhythms: shifting leaves, nocturnal animals, and “the mysterious stillness between sounds,” Play Frisco says.

Combining contemporary art and nature at night, Play Frisco invites guests of all ages to Nocturne where they can “explore, imagine, and connect beneath the stars.”
