Perception of Deception: Museum of Illusions Headed to Dallas

The worldwide interactive museum is about to add an eccentric twist to downtown Dallas.

Museum of Illusions, an immersive “Instagram worthy” experience, is slated to open its first Texas location in September 2019. With over 50 interactive installations—including vortex tunnels, holograms, infinity rooms, and more—this unique museum is sure to be mind-boggling.

With only two other locations in the United States, the Museum of Illusions will bring a unique edge to Dallas’ locals and tourists alike. Located in the West End district, this permanent attraction will provide fun-for-all-ages entertainment.

On top of taking unique photos, visitors will walk away from the attraction with a better understanding of the science behind optical illusions, the museum said. Through fun and informative exhibits, the museum aims to elucidate why our eyes can see things that our brains cannot.

Subhi Gharbieh, of G+A Real Estate, represented the museum in negotiating the deal with Shawn Fullam, of Lincoln Property Company as the landlord representative.

“There are a lot of exciting things happening in the West End, and we are excited to be a part of it,” the Dallas Museum of Illusions’ real estate broker Subhi Gharbieh said in a statement.  “As a native Dallasite, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to find new things to do in our city, for both locals and tourists. This museum and other attractions will be a great addition to Dallas’ tourism, and we are looking forward to becoming a part of the culture. There are a lot of exciting things happening in the West End, and we are excited to be a part of it.”

The Dallas Museum of Illusions will be available for private and corporate events, as well as school excursions across all grade levels.
