Total Quality Logistics—the second-largest freight brokerage in North America and one of the largest global third-party logistics firms—has expanded its Texas presence with a new office in Fort Worth, the Cincinnati, Ohio-based company announced.
The 8,754-square-foot office is in Overton Centre at 4100 International Plaza. TQL said the expansion reinforces its investment in Texas. In 2012, TQL opened its Austin office and has since added locations in Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio.
“We’re looking forward to adding Fort Worth to the TQL team,” TQL President Kerry Byrne said in a statement. “This newest office joins a strong group of TQL offices in Texas.”
The company said that Fort Worth’s geographic location, with access to major highways and railroad systems, made the location an ideal spot for its new office.
Reinforces Fort Worth as a ‘hub for logistics and innovation’
“We’re pleased to welcome Total Quality Logistics to Fort Worth,” said Robert Allen, president and CEO of the Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership. “Their decision to establish a new office underscores our city’s strength as a hub for logistics and innovation, supported by a large talent pool.”
Fort Worth’s growing population of young people will provide an excellent source of potential candidates to join the TQL team, the company said.
TQL said it is hiring for entry level sales positions in the Fort Worth office.
District 3 Fort Worth City Councilman Michael D. Crain said TQL’s new office “will leverage our city’s strategic location and robust transportation infrastructure, enhancing our logistics sector and providing valuable job opportunities for our growing population of young professionals.”
“This expansion underscores Fort Worth’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment and supporting innovative industries that drive economic growth and community development,” Crain added in a statement.
Founded in 1997, TQL said it connects companies with shipping needs to its network of more than 140,000 transportation providers with available capacity and service offerings.
