If you want to sell your home, but it needs a little work, Dallas-based Ebby Halliday Cos. and Maryland-based Curbio have announced a partnership this month that could offer you a solution: presale home renovations.
Curbio is a real estate technology company that exclusively works with homeowners who are represented by licensed agents. One hundred percent of Curbio’s business comes from realtor referrals, which is why a partnership with major real estate brokerages like Ebby Halliday should come as no surprise.
“Adding Curbio to our arsenal of sales tools is exactly the type of service that sets our agents and company apart,” Randall Graham, vice president and director of marketing at Ebby Halliday, said in a statement. “Having a partner like Curbio helps our clients decrease days on market and increase their proceeds at closing.”
Curbio tech includes real estate innovations
Curbio said in the release that its technology includes innovations such as same-day estimates, real-time video updates, and virtual walkthroughs that will allow for faster completions of projects than traditional home improvement companies.
Curbio then defers payment for the renovations until the house is sold. No deposit is required and there are no finance charges. This business model is said to result in quicker sales and higher proceeds for sellers, according to Curbio.
Ebby Halliday Realtors was founded in 1945 by the late Ebby Halliday, a legend in the North Texas real estate community who died in 2015. The company has 1,800 agents and staff in 33 offices in North Texas.
In 2007, it acquired Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate and in 2014, it acquired Williams Trew.
Just last year, Ebby Halliday named Chris Kelly as CEO and was acquired by HomeServices of America, a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate.
