Match Group swipes right on a new CEO for Tinder
Dallas-headquartered Match Group has appointed Jim Lanzone as the new chief executive officer at Tinder, its flagship brand.
Lanzone brings a breadth of experience to the dating innovator. He has served in various roles at CBS Corporation, including chief digital officer and president and CEO of CBS Interactive. He joins Tinder after most recently serving as an executive-in-residence at Benchmark Capital.
“Tinder is an iconic brand and an essential part of the dating experience,” Lanzone said in a statement. “We have an enormous opportunity to deliver on our mission, bring more people to the product and reimagine the user experience across different markets. I’m looking forward to working with the team and taking the brand to new heights.”
Lanzone will step into his new role on Aug. 3, reporting to Match Group CEO Shar Dubey. He succeeds Elie Seidman, who is stepping down. Seidman joined the company around four years ago as CEO of OkCupid.
“[Jim] has vast experience running complex global tech organizations, driving product innovation, integrating emerging media trends into bellwether brands and a proven track record of building subscription offerings and delivering results,” Dubey said in a statement. “Tinder still has so much runway ahead, and as we look to integrate video, roll out new features in various regions and accelerate our growth around the world, Jim will be a formidable leader for the company.”
Coinciding with the announcement, Match Group named Joshua Sell, a gaming executive, as its new chief product officer at Tinder effective immediately.
Capital Alliance Corp. names managing director
The Dallas office of Oaklins International Inc, Capital Alliance Corp, has named Ty Rose its managing director and practice leader.
In his new role, Rose will direct the firm’s construction and engineering practice. He brings more than 10 years of experience in operations and finance to Capital Alliance, having most recently served as vice president at The Brock Group, where he managed the southeastern region.
“Ty brings unique qualifications to our clients in construction and engineering,” Bryan Livingston, managing partner and CEO of Capital Alliance, said in a statement. “He has operator P&L experience as a leader in industrial rental and architecture & engineering firms, along with exposure to private equity in the construction sector. Like other CAC bankers, Ty combines operational expertise with solid finance capabilities.”
Cytracom brings on a new head of sales
Dallas-based Cytracom, a communications vendor that focuses on connecting the modern workforce, has appointed Meredith Caram as its new VP of Sales.
Caram is a 20-year IT and communications leaders who has received a Top Gun 51 award from Channel Partners, which recognizes “channel leaders who are advocates for the channel model and are committed to partners’ business success.”
Most recently, she led global distribution at Intrado, and before that had an 18-year tenure of leadership positions at AT&T. At Intrado, Caram focused on removing barriers for new sales and engagement within the partner community.
“We are excited about Meredith joining our team to lead our next stage of growth,” Zane Conkle, co-founder and CEO of Cytracom, said in a statement. “She is a visionary sales leader with a track record of hyper growth in the channel.”
RumbleOn hires a director of B2B technology
Dallas-based RumbleOn has brought on auto industry veteran and financial services technology specialist Marc Holstein as its director of business-to-business technology.
RumbleOn uses technology to simplify the way dealers and consumers buy, sell, trade, or finance pre-owned vehicles.
Holstein is bringing his more than two decades of tech management and leadership experience to the e-commerce company. He was most recently the VP of Operations at Integrated Auction Solutions. While there, he founded Dealer to Dealer Auto products, which evolved into the company’s current Simulcast and Digital Marketing product line.
“Marc brings deep industry knowledge that will be an asset as we grow our capabilities and proliferate RumbleOn 3.0,” CEO Marshall Chesrown said in a statement. “We continue to attract world-class talent and deepen our leadership team as we focus on the future of RumbleOn.”
Brinker International adds to its Board Of Directors
Global casual dining leader Brinker International has appointed Frances L. Allen and Alex G. Macedo to its Board of Directors.
As a restaurant industry executive, Allen has deep expertise in brand strategy, operations, marketing, and restaurant tech. She is currently the CEO of Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, and before that was CEO of Boston Market Corporation. She has also held positions at Jack in the Box Inc and Denny’s Corporation.
Macedo is also a season industry executive. He has a vast background and expertise in restaurant operations, most recently serving as president of Tim Hortons. Prior to that, he led teams at Restaurant Brands International, which includes a role as president of Burger King North America.
“Frances and Alex bring valuable strategic thinking and experience to our board as a result of their successful restaurant brand leadership over the years,” Wyman Roberts, CEO and president of Dallas-based Brinker International and president of Chili’s Grill & Bar, said in a statement. “As we continue to innovate at Chili’s and Maggiano’s and provide our Guests with best-in-class food and service, Frances and Alex’s wealth of knowledge and experience in operations, marketing, food and service will help us to continue to lead the category and differentiate our brands.”
Zimperium gets a new chief revenue officer
Dallas-based Zimperium, a provider of mobile device and app security, announced that Ed Carter is joining its team as chief revenue officer.
Carter has more than two decades of technology experience, which includes holding 17 leadership roles with SaaS companies. Most recently, he was the CRO at Zerto leading the company’s double digit growth in its enterprise and managed service provider markets.
At Zimperium, he will lead all global sales and channels, a strategic role in accelerating the company’s growth and expansion
“Ed is a strategic, driven and transformative sales leader with proven experience spanning both high-growth startups and Fortune 500 companies,” CEO Shridhar Mittal said in a statement. “Ed also brings a unique background as a commissioned Air Force officer where he served in both operations and finance in the space and intelligence sectors. All of these experiences will prove invaluable to Zimperium, our customers and our partners.”
Fluor appoints a new CFO
Fluor Corporation, a Dallas-based engineering construction company, has named a new chief financial officer following D. Michael Steuert’s decision to retire.
“After seven years of retirement, I returned to Fluor last year to help the new management team with the strategic review of our organization and to provide expertise as Fluor charted a new path forward,” Steuert said in a statement. “While the past year has been challenging, I believe we have made great strides. I am confident that Fluor’s financial operations are in good hands, and I have made the personal decision to return to retirement and transition the role to a seasoned executive.”
Joe Brennan, who has worked at Fluor since 1991, will step into the role of CFO. He most recently served as the senior vice president, operations controller since June of this year, and before that was segment controller of Energy & Chemicals.
Fluor said it is pleased to have the talent and knowledge that Brennan brings to the role.
“[Joe] is a strong leader who is equally dedicated to returning Fluor to a position of strength and leadership in our industry,” CEO Carlos Hernandez said in a statement. “We also appreciate and have benefited tremendously from the countless hours of hard work that Mike has devoted to Fluor during these challenging times. While there remains work to be done and there are no assurances as to our timing, we expect to file the 2019 Form 10-K before September 30.”
Collaborative Imaging brings on a new CISO
Plano-based Collaborative Imaging, a radiologist-owned alliance with more than 400 radiologists, has added Greg Floyd to its team as chief information security officer.
Floyd has more than 30 years of experience in enterprise-level information technology. Per Collaborative Imaging, throughout his career, Floyd has helped develop data center strategies and worked to leverage technology that enables many business processes across industries.
In his new role, he will help create technology frameworks for Collaborative Imaging to foster growth while ensuring tech and solutions are secure.
“Greg’s wide breadth of IT knowledge will serve as a huge asset to our team,” CEO Dhruv Chopra said in a statement. “His enterprise architecture experience means he understands how technology is used from cradle to grave. He will play a key role in our company’s security and success, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the team.”
Trademark Property Co. gets a VP of Experience
Trademark Property Company, a full service real estate firm based in Fort Worth, has hired Chuck Steelman as its VP of Experience.
Per Connect Texas, Steelman has nearly a decade of experience in event and VIP client experience management for Neiman Marcus Group. He will lead Trademark’s experiential retail and guest experience platforms in his new role.
A special focus will be placed on using technology to engage with customers through virtual experiences during the pandemic.
“Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, now is a time to be especially creative in how we make connections in unique, but safe, ways,” CEO Terry Montesi said. “With his extensive background in VIP services and event programming, Chuck will help properties across our portfolio focus on guest experience and fostering true community, virtually or in person.”
National Healthcare Solutions announces a new Executive Vice President
National Healthcare Solutions, a medical cost containment firm based in Dallas, has named Jesse “Jay” Beck as its new executive vice president of growth and strategy.
Beck’s role will oversee three of NHS’ sister companies: Assured Benefits Administrators, Dallas Risk Management, and Independent Medical Systems.
Beck has a wide range of expertise in the industry. He has served as VP of strategic growth at Texas Health Resources, a director at Towers Watson, president and COO for Apex Global Partners, CEO of Century Health Care, and co-founded Medical Home Exchange.
“NHSI has ambitious growth plans for our domestic operations for both the short and long-term and we are confident that Jay will help us to achieve them,” President and CEO David Rendall said in a statement. “Jay Beck is a transformative leader who has made positive and meaningful changes to the healthcare arena.”
CyrusOne’s CFO plans to exit
Dallas-based data center company CyrusOne, which recently named a new CEO, has announced that CFO Diane Morefield is planning to retire.
Per the Dallas Business Journal, Morefield is expecting to make the move early next year. Until a successor is named, she will continue at CyrusOne. She has held the position since 2016.
“She has been instrumental in the company’s growth, and her leadership will be missed,” new CEO Bruce Duncan said in a statement. “We are grateful that she has agreed to remain with the company to facilitate a smooth transition.”
