Dallas’ The Jarrell Company Acquired by Atlanta-Based Construction Resources

Known for its iconic starburst sign in its Dallas location near Greenville Avenue, The Jarrell Company started as Jarrell Appliances in the late 1940s before growing into a luxury appliance, plumbing, and lighting distributor serving Dallas-Fort Worth and Lubbock.

The Jarrell Company, a Dallas-based luxury appliance, plumbing, and lighting distributor with kitchen and bath showrooms serving builders, interior designers, and homeowners, has been acquired by Atlanta’s Construction Resources Company, LLC.

Eric Neel, president of The Jarrell Company, and his leadership team will remain with Construction Resources following the acquisition. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“For more than 75 years, The Jarrell Company has served homebuilders, remodelers, designers, and premium consumers,” Neel said in a statement. “Currently, The Jarrell Company serves the DFW Metroplex and Lubbock. We’re excited to become a part of Construction Resources, and we look forward to serving our customers with the same great service from the same group of professionals for years to come.”

Known for its iconic starburst sign in its Dallas location near Greenville Avenue, The Jarrell Company started as Jarrell Appliances in the late 1940s and soon became The Jarrell Company specializing in luxury products, expanding its inventory and growing its footprint beyond the original location on Fondren Drive. The company has added stores in Grapevine, Rockwall, and Lubbock.

Construction Resources was acquired by The Home Depot in December 2023. It’s a leading distributor of design-oriented surfaces, appliances, cabinets, plumbing fixtures, and specialty products for professional contractors and designers specializing in renovation, remodeling, and residential home building.

“We’re excited to have The Jarrell Company as a key partner in the Construction Resources’ family of companies and expand our operations into Texas,” said Mitch Hires, CEO of Construction Resources.

“CR was attracted to The Jarrell Company based on their leadership team and established culture of providing elevated service levels across their customer base,” he added in a statement. “We plan to invest in their growth and support them as needed to continue delivering premium appliance, plumbing, and lighting offerings to the builder and designer community.”
