A detector within the device or another component of the environment receives signals including parameters for a localization signal of the device. The parameters describe known in advance signals within the signals. Additional metadata including each frame start of the signals and assistance data and auxiliary information are also received. The known in advance signals are detected based on the parameters of the localization signal. Samples extracted from the known in advance signals are then processed and compressed and sent with other collect data to a locate server remote from the detector. The location server uses that information as well as similar information about the environment to calculate the location of the device, as well as perform tracking and navigation of the device, and report such results to the environment.

Assignee(s): TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INCORPORATED (Dallas, TX)
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 16663016 on 10/24/2019 (1398 days app to issue)

Abstract: A time of flight (ToF) system comprises three photoemitters, a photosensor, and a controller. The first photoemitter transmits light onto objects at first height, the second photoemitter onto objects at second, lower height, and the third photoemitter onto objects at third, lowest height. The controller causes one of the photoemitters to transmit modulated light and the photosensor to receive reflections from the scene. The controller determines a depth map for the corresponding height based on phase differences between the transmitted and reflected light. In some examples, the ToF system is included in an autonomous robot”s navigation system. The navigation system identifies overhanging objects at the robot”s top from the depth map at the first height, obstacles in the navigation route from the depth map at the second height, and cliffs and drop-offs in the ground surface in front of the robot from the depth map at the third height.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for providing user offers based on efficient iterative recommendation structures. In various aspects, a server invokes a bi-directional look-up interface via a lookup request, where the bi-directional look-up interface is exposed via an electronic recommendation structure. The lookup request causes the bi-directional look-up interface to return a bi-directional recommendation value. The bi-directional recommendation value indicates a likelihood of a first user selecting a first offer or a second offer. The bi-directional recommendation value is transmitted via a computer network to a client device associated with the first user upon a determination that the likelihood meets or exceeds a recommendation threshold. The client device is operative to display at least one of the first offer or the second offer.

Non-volatile storage system with power on read timing reduction
Patent No. 11735288

Inventor(s): Hua-Ling Cynthia Hsu (Fremont, CA), YenLung Li (San Jose, CA)
Assignee(s): SanDisk Technologies LLC (Addison, TX)
Law Firm: Vierra Magen Marcus LLP (2 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 17672904 on 02/16/2022 (552 days app to issue)

Abstract: Technology is disclosed herein for loading redundancy information during a memory system power on read (POR). A memory structure has primary regions (e.g., primary columns) and a number of redundant regions (e.g., redundant columns). The status of the regions is stored in isolation latches during the POR. Initially, simultaneously all latches for primary regions are reset to used and all latches for redundant regions are reset to unused. Then, isolation latches for defective primary regions are set to unused while isolation latches for corresponding redundant regions are set to used. There is no need to individually set isolation latches for redundant regions to unused, which saves time during POR. Moreover, whenever the isolation latch for a defective primary region is set from used to unused, in parallel the isolation latch for the replacement redundant column may be set from unused to used, thereby not incurring a time penalty.

Inventor(s): Igor Timofeev (Dallas, TX), Serguei Matitsine (Dallas, TX)
Assignee(s): Matsing, Inc. (Irvine, CA)
Law Firm: Fish IP Law, LLP (2 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 18107406 on 02/08/2023 (195 days app to issue)

Abstract: This application proposes multi-beam antenna systems using spherical lens are proposed, with high isolation between antenna ports and compatible to 22, 44, 88 MIMO transceivers. Several compact multi-band multi-beam solutions (with wideband operation, 40% +, in each band) are achieved by creating dual-band radiators movable on the track around spherical lens and by placing of lower band radiators between spherical lenses. By using of secondary lens for high band radiators, coupling between low band and high band radiators is reduced. Beam tilt range and side lobe suppression are improved by special selection of phase shift and rotational angle of radiators. Resultantly, a wide beam tilt range (0-40 degree) is realized in proposed multi-beam antenna systems. Each beam can be individually tilted. Based on proposed single- and multi-lens antenna solutions, cell coverage improvements and stadium tribune coverage optimization are also achieved, together with interference reduction.

Mutable access tokens
Patent No. 11736493

Inventor(s): Abhishek Acharya (Irving, TX), Gayathri Sundar (Irving, TX)
Assignee(s): CITICORP CREDIT SERVICES, INC. (USA) (Jacksonville, FL)
Law Firm: Johnson, Marcou, Isaacs Nix, LLC (no location found)
Application No., Date, Speed: 17888939 on 08/16/2022 (371 days app to issue)

Abstract: A network system to provide mutable access tokens for access requests that eliminate a need for token replacement. The system allows an access token to be changed to update data in the token. When data stored with the token changes, such as when a user or partner has a change in status, a new token is not required to be requested, generated, dispersed, or stored. Conventional systems refuse the API call request and require the new token be provided. The described system instead completes the request while simultaneously notifying the user to subsequently retrieve an updated access token. Requesting, generating, communicating, and presenting a new token requires additional time, bandwidth, computing capacity, and system interactions. While performing new token acquisition in conventional systems, devices are forced to perform additional interactions, which may result in a time delay or in one or more devices exceeding capacity, becoming overloaded, and seizing.
