Just weeks after partnering with Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowler Zack Martin on its “Grande” sized flip flop line, Dallas-based Hari Mari is stepping into new digs in Deep Ellum, the historic neighborhood just east of downtown.
The footwear, gear, and apparel brand has leased 2616 Main Street, a 4,500-square-foot, move-in-ready office suite in the heart of Deep Ellum. The building is part of Asana Partners’ portfolio in the neighborhood according to Stream Realty Partners, which announced the HQ move.
“We’re thrilled to have Hari Mari join our growing list of tenants in Deep Ellum,” Stream SVP Ryan Evanich said in a statement. “Hari Mari’s commitment to the neighborhood is a testament to the work Asana and others have done to create a truly unique experience for our office tenants. We look forward to Hari Mari’s continued success and are honored to partner with them.”
Hari Mari recently raised $10M to spur growth
The HQ move is just the latest recent headline from Hari Mari, which was co-founded by Jeremy and Lila Stewart. In March, the company announced it had raised $10 million in an equity investment round led by financial services entrepreneur Landon Smith, founder and former CEO of Dallas-based Riveron, a national business advisory firm. Additional participants included Montgomery Capital Advisors and DWBI Investments.
With the new funding, Hari Mari aims to invest in its core high-margin flip flop and slipper lines along with expanding its audience reach and strengthening its position for sustainable, long-term growth.
The company also brought on on Dana Sawyer as its new head of sales. Sawyer had previously served as the head of sales at Chaco for seven years.
Plus, Hari Mari has taken its lifestyle brand into pop culture territory by sponsoring two upcoming Texas music festivals and collaborating with Midland, the Grammy-winning Texas band, on a “Last Resort Cruise” from Miami to the Bahamas. It also recently sponsored the Luck Reunion festival in Texas, headlined by Willie Nelson.
