Dallas-Based Yadot Group To Acquire NYC Production Co. Outside People

"Our aim is to build the largest, and more importantly, most effective advertising services group in the world and that will not happen organically," said Kyle Borgman, chairman and CEO of The Yadot Group. "We're in the acquisitions business, plain and simple."

The Yadot Group, a Dallas-based global advertising services group, has agreed to acquire New York-based production company Outside People.

Once acquired, Outside People “will work synergistically with Yadot Studios, a majority-owned production company already under the group’s umbrella,” the company said. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The complementary cross-over between Yadot Studios and Outside People provides an exceptional advantage in the agency and production marketplace, Yadot said, leveraging in-house speed and efficiency that enables clients “to work with more than just a couple directors but an entire roster of Hollywood-level talent.”

“This deal represents another step forward in expanding our international presence and creative capabilities for our brands,” Kyle Borgman, chairman and CEO of The Yadot Group, said in a statement.

Yadot said it operates on three continents—North America, Europe, and South America. Its agencies have produced work for prominent global brands including Nike, General Mills, Keurig Dr Pepper, Mercedes, AMEX, and others.

“The ecosystem that The Yadot Group is creating is truly unique in the advertising space,” Chad Ostrom, founder and executive producer of Outside People, said in a statement. “Specifically, the ability to bridge creative and production for global and multi-national brands is more exciting than I can explain.”

Although this is the first deal for The Yadot Group under Borgman’s leadership, he said he expects “many more” soon.

“We’re in the acquisitions business, plain and simple,” Borgman said. “Our aim is to build the largest, and more importantly, most effective advertising services group in the world and that will not happen organically. We’re shopping in good and bad economies.”
