Boca Raton, Florida-based public relations firm TransMedia Group announced that it’s opening an office in Dallas and has appointed PR veteran Dawn Kimball as executive vice president in charge of operation in Texas.
TransMedia Group CEO Tom Madden told Dallas Innovates via email that the office will open with just Kimball, but eventually will add staff as the firm takes on clients.
“We also have clients from here [Florida] coming there to present investment opportunities,” Madden said. “We seen great synergies between our Florida operation and Texas.”
Madden said Texas is a “fertile ground for innovation,” leading the firm to create a larger presence here to serve a “growing crop of clients whose products are about to disrupt many industries.”
One of the Texas companies the firm represents is Austin-based TimiCoin.io, whose blockchain technology is ready to disrupt how medical records are securely stored and accessed from around the world, according to the TransMedia.
Kimball, a former chairman of the board of the The American Cancer Society, will head the firm’s PR operations throughout Texas. The University of Texas graduate has more than 10 years experience in designing public relations programs for multiple brands.
