o9 Solutions, an enterprise AI software platform provider, today announced $296 million in equity investments from a group including General Atlantic and its climate investing venture BeyondNetZero; Generation Investment Management; and existing o9 investor KKR.
The company—which had a 400% increase in annual recurring revenue in Q4 2021—is now valued at $2.7 billion. "We have an unprecedented opportunity in front of us," says Co-Founder and CEO Chakri Gottemukkala.

The accelerator will move this summer from its downtown Dallas location to 6,000 square feet of collaborative and flexible office space in Pegasus Park's 18-story tower.
Just weeks ago, Pegasus Park landed one of its biggest tenants to date: UT Southwestern‘s Office for Technology Development and other UTSW entities will be leasing six floors in the tower.

A fleet of 16 autonomous robots from San Francisco-based Starship is now rolling across the SMU campus, delivering food from nine campus eateries. The app-controlled, on-demand robots have Mustang branding and can deliver up to 20 pounds of food in "minutes." Starship, co-founded by a former Skype founding engineer, has made over 2.5 million autonomous deliveries worldwide.

The Hedera Governing Council will buy the IP from Swirlds, a startup co-founded in 2015 by the inventor of the Hashgraph algorithm. Dallas mathematician and computer scientist Leemon Baird created the distributed ledger technology to outperform other protocols in power, security, and speed.

The Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company aims to "disrupt and disable big pharma" by offering more than 100 generic drugs "at striking savings" direct to consumers on a cash-pay basis.
As a pharmaceutical wholesaler, MCCPDC says it can "bypass middlemen and outrageous markups" by simply charging a flat 15% margin and pharmacist fee. With an $11M plant going up now in Deep Ellum, Cuban clearly means business.
