Gearbox Entertainment Acquires Fellow Frisco Company Captured Dimensions

Gearbox is an award-winning creator and distributor of transmedia entertainment, including hit video games and franchises like Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Brothers in Arms, and Borderlands. Captured Dimensions has done 3D capture and scanning for numerous Hollywood movies, and produced video game titles for 2K Games and Electronic Arts.
Captured Dimensions founder and president Jordan Williams called the merger "an incredible runway for growth an opportunity."

Harvest Returns, a Fort Worth-based crowdfunding platform, recently helped American Beef Ranch complete a $470,000 raise.
According to Harvest Returns, the Idaho-based ranch aims to raise high-quality grass-fed, grass-finished beef and lamb.
A fifth-generation rancher, owner, and operator, Jesse Nelson has worked the ranch for over 10 years giving him an advantage in understanding how and where certain improvements are to be implemented, Harvest Returns said....

The 2023 Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Awards program awarded $5 million in total grants to nonprofits across the country. The local recipients include Mercy Street and Cornerstone Crossroads Academy in Dallas and City House in Plano. "Through our True Inspiration Awards grant program, Chick-fil-A helps empower local nonprofits that are leading positive change and creating tangible impact throughout the communities they serve," said Chick-fil-A's Brent Fielder.

Dallas has increasingly been putting apartments into historic downtown buildings. In the past week, Fort Worth made its own one-two punch in the same direction.
First, Dallas-based Bluelofts Inc. acquired the historic Oil & Gas building on West 7th Street in downtown Fort Worth (above), for conversion into 180 apartments with ground-floor retail. Now Chicago's 3L Real Estate has acquired the 16-story former Oncor Building on the very same street for conversion into—you guessed it—apartments.

Barnstorm Agtech, a Canadian startup developing driverless robotic tractors known as 'Barnstormers,' has closed on a $217,500 equity capital raise through Fort Worth-based Harvest Returns' investment platform.
The company, co-founded by a fourth-generation farmer and a robotics expert, plans to deploy 'swarms' of the tractors as a service to farmers in the U.S. Midwest and Canadian Prairies to address chronic labor scarcity and other "pain points" of traditional tractor systems.
