The 4th Annual Women In Tech Summit is featuring a $100,000 Investment Challenge, offering female founders the chance to win big for their startup—and get a fast-track into Austin’s Capital Factory, the center of gravity for entrepreneurs in Texas.
The Capital Factory’s Texas Fund and its partners Beam Angel Network, Seven Seven Six Fund, and Houston’s Golden Seeds are holding the summit. The $100,000 Investment Challenge is dedicated to bolstering diversity in the tech community while making Capital Factory an inclusive environment for people of all backgrounds and identities.
Five finalists will pitch on Oct. 4th
On October 4th, five tech startup finalists will pitch to a panel of advisors and judges featuring top investors, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders. One winner will walk away with the $100K and the Capital Factory fast track.
The $100,000 cash investment comes on a SAFE or Convertible Note using Capital Factory’s term sheet and your most recent funding valuation, or a qualified term sheet provided by the company.
All five finalists will receive their own fast track into the Capital Factory portolio, where they can get exposure to potential investors, customers, and employees. They’ll also gain access to the Capital Factory Mentor network as long as Capital Factory is a shareholder.
All finalists will also get up to $250,000 in total hosting credits from AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and other major hosting providers, and a complimentary Capital Factory coworking membership for their team for six months.
Not only do these fierce females have a chance of winning big, but Capital Factory will receive 1% common stock grant as advisor equity (separate from the investment) along with the right to invest up to $250,000 in your next round of funding.
Who can apply?
The challenge is open to any software, hardware, or CPG startup in Texas with a female founder or co-founder.
Because of Capital Factory’s Investment Challenge, past winners have been able to make their startups a success. With additional capital and client connections, thriving Dallas startups like Shearshare, Mynd VR, and YouGoNatural have been able to secure millions of dollars—from partners like Google Black Founders Fund, Revolution’s Rise of the Rest Fund, Backstage Capital, and many other VC investors.
