Blacklane Launches ‘City-to-City’ Limo Routes in Dallas as a Short-Haul Flight Alternative

Berlin, Germany-based Blacklane said the new business routes offer travelers a "reliable and seamless alternative" to commuter air and train transportation. The Dallas routes include travel to Abilene, East Texas Regional Airport near Longview, Oklahoma City, Texarkana, Tyler Pounds Regional Airport, Waco, and Wichita Falls.

Blacklane, a global chauffeur service headquartered in Berlin, Germany, has expanded its “City-to-City” service with 68 new business routes in the U.S.—including seven routes in Dallas.

“Blacklane’s investment in short-distance routes reflects the needs of traveling professionals today—it’s about comfort and reclaiming your time,” Kyle Fackler, head of Market Management, Americas at Blacklane, said in a statement. “While mass transit travel comes with delays, security lines, and unpredictable schedules, Blacklane’s City-to-City service offers seamless, direct transit all within a premier service, transforming commuting from a headache into a refined experience.”

Blacklane has already been offering an established limousine service in Dallas-Fort Worth. Its newly launched Dallas CIty-to-City routes include:

  • Dallas – Abilene
  • Dallas – East Texas Regional Airport near Longview
  • Dallas – Oklahoma City
  • Dallas – Texarkana
  • Dallas – Tyler Pounds Regional Airport
  • Dallas – Waco
  • Dallas – Wichita Falls

Blacklane said the new business routes offer travelers a “reliable and seamless alternative” to commuter air and train transportation. The expansion replicates mass transit paths in major metro areas cities in the U.S. that also include Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, and Detroit.

The company said its new business routes offer corporate travelers a comfortable, more efficient alternative to short-haul flights with the benefit of a private, uninterrupted door-to-door experience between major cities. It said that as mass transit systems struggle with issues such as overcrowded check-ins, long security lines, and cancellations or delays, Blacklane’s service offers business travelers a more dependable option to the current commuting experience.

In 2024 alone, Blacklane said that business travel is expected to regain 95% of its 2019 level, up from 89% last year. However, the company said that nearly 75% of Americans have experienced a flight delay or cancellation in the past year.

Blacklane said that with its City-to-City service, commuters “can skip the hassle and stress” caused by overbookings, tech outages, or severe weather conditions that have plagued travelers this year.

Potentially reduces total travel time

Blacklane’s private car transfers provide corporate commuters the reliability, personalized service, and comfort that mass transit systems lack, while potentially reducing total travel time, the company said.

Blacklane said travelers can save over 2.5 hours of total travel time between commuter cities by choosing its City-to-City service when accounting for departure and arrival transfers, airport wait times, and total flight times.

The company said it offers a portfolio of services from airport transfers to chauffeur-by-the-hour to address all needs.

The company provides a range of vehicles for every comfort level, from SUVs to business or first class. All come equipped with features tailored for comfortable travel including temperature control, spacious seating, and complimentary bottled water. All Blacklane said that its rides are carbon offset with the company continuously increasing its investment in the number of electric rides year over year, making it a sustainable choice for business travelers.

Blacklane said this expansion comes on the heels of the recent announcement of its City-to-Beach and City-to-Slopes services, extensions of the City-to-City service that take users directly from metropolitan cities to major beach and ski destinations across the U.S., the U.K., Europe, and the United Arab Emirates.
