Blackboxstocks Inc. announced that Keller Reid has been appointed to the company’s board of directors.
The Dallas-based company is a financial technology and social media hybrid platform that offers real-time proprietary analytics for stock and options traders of all levels.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome Keller Reid as a member of our board. We believe that Keller’s vast industry knowledge and long-standing relationships with leading financial institutions will benefit Blackbox as we launch an initiative to sell our proprietary technology on an enterprise level and expand our addressable market to include a B2B model,” Gust Kepler, CEO of Blackboxstocks, said in a statement.
The firm said that Reid has extensive experience in the strategy and technology of trading systems.
Reid has been at Ackerman Capital Management, a Dallas-based family office, for 14 years and is responsible for trading and execution, and he oversees the technological infrastructure of the firm.
Reid previously was vice president, bead of Execution Sales and Strategy at Apex Clearing. Reid came to Apex after it acquired Penson Clearing, where Reid’s positions included head of execution services and trading, and chief operating officer of Penson Execution Services.
Reid also was a director of the Dallas Security Traders Association for 14 years and a long-standing member of the Security Traders Association Retail Roundtable and SIFMA Listed Options Trading Committee.
