CEO Blake Burris said that Ballou brings the experience needed for FLUX to launch its mission “of urban farming for all.”
Ballou is CEO of app developer Touch Titans, and he brings more than 10 years of experience with digital development for such Fortune 500 companies as CNN, National Geographic, Red Bull, and Microsoft.
He’s also a contributor to open-source blockchain projects such as Zclassic and Bitcoin Private. He’s won the top awards at Stellar Build Challenge, Adobe’s Open Screen Fund, and AT&T’s Calling All Innovators.
“I’ve known Blake for a dozen years and we have had the chance to work symbiotically in other startups,” Ballou said in a post on Medium. “It started with Flux as an advisory position last fall and then the vision of the team inspired me to join FLUX as I got to know the team, history, and our collective capacity to achieve results.”
Burris said that Ballou will help FLUX fill out its development team between the U.S., Hong Kong, and Israel.
