Aurora Presents 2026 Video Art Night in Downtown Dallas This Friday

With videos splashed on a lavish scale—including on the 104-foot AT&T Discovery District media wall—the one-of-a-kind art experience will also feature live music, culinary offerings, and more from 7 to 10 p.m. this Friday at the AT&T Discovery District. The main outdoor exhibition is free and open to the public; but there's a ticketed benefit offering as well. Plus, a second Video Art Night is coming to Denton on June 12.

This Friday night, the AT&T Discovery District will be transformed into a walkable light show of video art installations, live music, and animated skyscraper creativity, as the annual Video Art Night returns to downtown Dallas. And this year, for the first time, a second Video Art Night will be coming to Denton on June 12.

Presented by AURORA, the Dallas-based public arts organization, Video Art Night is an annual exhibition of video artworks presented in unexpected public spaces in North Texas. The events feature video art works by innovative regional and national talent, transforming outdoor urban locations into open-air exhibitions that are free and open to the public.

With videos splashed on a lavish scale—including on the 104-foot AT&T Discovery District media wall—the one-of-a-kind art experience will also feature live music, culinary offerings, and more. The goal: expanding access to art and technology while bringing diverse communities together to mingle and gape upward in awe.

7 to 10 p.m. Friday in AT&T Discovery District

Video Art Night returns to Dallas this Friday, April 17, from 7 to 10 p.m., in celebration of Dallas Arts Month. You don’t need a ticket to experience the main outdoor exhibition: Just find your way downtown to the AT&T Discovery District at the corner of Akard and Jackson Streets and join the fun.

In addition to the free public event, AURORA will be hosting a ticketed benefit at The Exchange at the AT&T Discovery District. The benefit includes access to balcony views overlooking the VAN exhibition and an exclusive performance by Hailey Summers, along with opportunities to meet the participating artists. Complimentary food and drinks will be served throughout the evening at the benefit. Details on benefit tickets, participating artists, and more are available here. Also, some “know before you go” details are available here.

P.S., there’s more to come this fall: AURORA will be back in downtown Dallas on November 21 with the 2026 AURORA Biennial.
