Dallas-based security-as-a-service company Armor is looking for unsung heroes—those who are giving back to their community and making a positive impact on the world—in their “Fight for the Greater Good” video contest.
Armor’s goal is to help companies stay compliant and secure by protecting data workloads and applications for their clients. As a leading cloud security solutions provider, it believes that keeping data away from those that wish to do harm with the information makes the world safer for everyone.
For example, Armor published a report this month showing that cybercriminals are profiting as prices for stolen credit cards has jumped about 83 percent since 2015. Armor says that its reports show that “everyone needs to be diligent” in regards to their stolen data.
So, because Armor essentially “fights for the greater good” by globally protecting data in the cloud, it wants to reward those who do the same—no matter what field they’re in.
The contest’s first place winner will receive a 7-day cruise to the Caribbean for two, as well as a $1,000 donation to the nonprofit or charity of their choice. The runner-up will be awarded $300 cash and $500 for their nonprofit of choice. The third prize winner will earn $150 cash and a Wonnie Indoor Camera. Viewers will vote among finalists to decide who the winner of the contest will be.
