Klyde Warren Park Gets the VR Treatment in New 360 Video

The immersive experience was created via GoPro Odyssey on Google Jump and unveiled at the recent ASLA 2017 Annual Meeting and EXPO in Los Angeles.

The American Society of Landscape Architects, which awarded Klyde Warren Park the ASLA 2017 Professional Award of Excellence for General Design, has uploaded a 360 virtual reality video of the park.

The video takes viewers on a journey through Klyde Warren, immersing them in its many features. James Burnett, president of OJB Landscape Architecture, which designed the park, narrates the video. It was created via GoPro Odyssey on Google Jump and unveiled at the ASLA 2017 Annual Meeting and EXPO, Oct. 20-23 in Los Angeles.

Capping freeways with green space closes the “gashes in our landscape,” Burnett explains in his narration. More than 1 million people a year visit the popular urban park.

Viewers can see the video on their computer or via the YouTube mobile app. They also can watch a 3D 360 Video on Samsung Gear VR. (Details below.)
