Abstract: System and techniques for host-preferred memory operation are described herein. At a memory-side cache of a memory device that includes accelerator hardware, a first memory operation can be received from a host. A determination that the first memory operation corresponds to a cache set based on an address of the first memory operation is made. A second memory operation can be received from the accelerator hardware. Another determination can be made that the second memory operation corresponds to the cache set. Here, the first memory operation can be enqueued in a host queue of the cache set and the second memory operation can be enqueued in an internal request queue of the cache set. The first memory operation and the second memory operation can be executed as each is dequeued.

Patent No. 12481585
Inventor(s): Andrey V. Kuzmin (Moscow, , RU), Mike Jadon (Manhattan Beach, CA), Richard M. Mathews (Chatsworth, CA)
Assignee(s): Radian Memory Systems, LLC (Plano, TX)
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 18887855 on 09/17/2024 (434 days app to issue)
Abstract: This disclosure provides for host-controller cooperation in managing NAND flash memory. The controller maintains information for each erase unit which tracks memory usage. This information assists the host in making decisions about specific operations, for example, initiating garbage collection, space reclamation, wear leveling or other operations. For example, metadata can be provided to the host identifying whether each page of an erase unit has been released, and the host can specifically then command each of consolidation and erase using direct addressing. By redefining host-controller responsibilities in this manner, much of the overhead association with FTL functions can be substantially removed from the memory controller, with the host directly specifying physical addresses. This reduces performance unpredictability and overhead, thereby facilitating integration of solid state drives (SSDs) with other forms of storage. The disclosed techniques are especially useful for direct-attached and/or network-attached storage.

Application No., Date, Speed: 18054526 on 11/10/2022 (1111 days app to issue)
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for facilitating the coexistence of target wake time (TWT) and enhanced multi-link single radio EMLSR operations for multi-link devices (MLDs). A non-access point (AP) MLD comprises STAs, each comprising a transceiver configured to form a link with a corresponding AP of an AP MLD, and a processor. At least a subset of the links are EMLSR links. TWT schedules are established for communications on at least two of the EMLSR links, each having a TWT service period (SP). The processor is configured to determine whether there is an overlap between a first of the TWT SPs that corresponds to a first of the EMLSR links and other TWT SPs that correspond to other EMLSR links, based on the overlap existing, prioritize the first EMLSR link based on criteria related to each of the TWT schedules, and initiate a frame exchange on the prioritized EMLSR link.

Patent No. 12484236
Inventor(s): Mahalingam Nandakumar (Richardson, TX)
Assignee(s): TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INCORPORATED (Dallas, TX)
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 18093951 on 01/06/2023 (1054 days app to issue)
Abstract: Methods and semiconductor circuits are described in which a polysilicon resistor body is formed over a semiconductor substrate. A first dopant species is implanted into the polysilicon resistor body at a first angle about parallel to a surface normal of a topmost surface of the polysilicon resistor body. A second dopant species is implanted into the polysilicon resistor body at a second angle greater than about 10 relative to the surface normal. The combination of implants reduces the different between the temperature coefficient (tempco) of resistance of narrow resistors relative to the tempco of wide resistors, and brings the tempco of the resistors closer to a preferred value of zero.
