United Way of Metropolitan Dallas will celebrate 100 years of service and its next century of impact this Saturday, November 15, at its Centennial Celebration at the Cotton Bowl Stadium in Fair Park, featuring performances by pop legend Janet Jackson and country superstar Blake Shelton.
United Way calls the event, presented by PepsiCo, a “party with a purpose” that blends entertainment and community spirit.
Tickets are officially sold out for Saturday, but some media partners are still doing ticket giveaways, and United Way has supplied its service providers with “thousands of tickets,” allowing many of those who benefit and support United Way to enjoy the show.
The nonprofit said the event culminates a yearlong recognition of United Way’s century of service in improving education, income, and health across the region. The celebration aims to reinforce United Way’s mission to help North Texas students, families, and communities thrive for generations to come.
United Way said the celebration will gather celebrities, philanthropists, civic leaders, and representatives from the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Stars, Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Wings, FC Dallas, and Dallas Trinity FC.
The event honors 100 years of community service partnership and progress. United Way said that more than 30,000 guests will gather at Fair Park for “Blue Carpet” arrivals, the Taste United Food and Wine Festival featuring top local chefs, and a high-energy concert headlined by Jackson and Shelton.
Saturday’s event schedule
Taste United Food & Wine Festival powered by Vistra: 3:00 – 7:00 PM
Patron Dinner presented by Kimberly-Clark: 5:00 PM
Grand Finale Concert presented by PepsiCo: 7:30 PM
Performances by Jackson and Shelton will begin at 7:50 p.m., United Way said.
