Ciridian Opens North Texas Showroom for Its High‑Tech Smart Beds. Starting Price: Six Figures

Custom-upholstered by Dallas-based American Leather, the Ciridian Smart Bed features a solid wood base, a side viewing window, app-based "unwind modes," and LED lighting that reveals the bedsprings' movement and acts as an occupant-activated nightlight.

Do you toss and turn at night, wondering if a better bed could give you more zzzz’s? Well, a brand-new showroom in Addison is now offering “the world’s smartest bed”—if you’re willing to lay down six figures.

The Ciridian Smart Bed is custom-upholstered by Dallas-based American Leather. It features a solid wood base, a side “viewing window,” and LED lighting that reveals the bedsprings’ movement and acts as an occupant-activated nightlight. The ultra-luxury bed is said to combine precision engineering, intuitive technology, and artisanal craftsmanship to deliver “a personalized sleep experience.”

The bed’s mattress is built with 400 independently controlled “smart springs,” each capable of sensing and adapting in real time. The system continuously maps the body to eliminate pressure points, equalize weight, provide proper push-back, and “deliver restorative sleep night after night,” the brand says.

Headquartered in Addison, Ciridian was founded by American Leather’s co-founder and former CEO, Bob Duncan. He continues to serve as chairman of American Leather Holdings—recently renamed Artisant Lane—which today includes not only American Leather but also Lee Industries, Brookline Furniture, and Benchmade Modern.

So what’s in a name? “Ciridian” aims to evoke a fusion of cirrus clouds and circadian rhythm—”signaling both the science of optimal sleep and the light, elevated feeling it delivers,” according to an Instagram post.

Showroom is by ‘appointment only’

Considering the sales price for Ciridian beds, you might expect some exclusivity at the new showroom at 4900 Arapaho Road, Suite 300. And you’d be right—checking out the beds is “by appointment only.”

But say you made that appointment. What would you find in the new flagship showroom?

Technology, for one thing. The bed’s app-based controls, along with unwind modes like Drift, Rock, and Decompress, provide features that “reduce restlessness, lower stress, and prepare the body for deeper, more restorative sleep,” the brand says. The 400 smart springs “work in concert throughout the night,” each one continuously adjusting its firmness in real time, averaging out the weight carried by any given spring.

By reducing the pressure points during sleep, the Ciridan bed aims to “effortlessly increase your deep and REM sleep.” Owners can control the whole bed or each individual side, and change preferences as often as needed.

Showroom appointments can be made by emailing [email protected].
