Irving-based consumer goods giant Kimberly-Clark (Nasdaq: KMB) has appointed veteran HR executive Stacey Valy Panayiotou to chief human resources officer, succeeding interim Chief Human Resources Officer Viviane Cury, effective Sept. 10.
Cury will resume her prior role as vice president, Talent Business Partner for North America, the company said.
“Stacey is a transformational leader with a track record of aligning people strategies with enterprise growth,” Mike Hsu, chairman and CEO of Kimberly-Clark, said in a statement. “Furthermore, her commitment to building people-first cultures that are both high-performing and caring aligns directly with our company’s values. We’re pleased to welcome Stacey to the team as we continue to execute our Powering Care strategy.”
In her new role, Panayiotou will be responsible for the global human resources function, including talent recruiting, development and performance management, labor relations, compensation, and employee benefits. Panayiotou will report to Hsu and serve on the company’s executive leadership team.
The company said that Panayiotou brings more than two decades of global human resources leadership to Kimberly-Clark.
Joins company from Ball Corp.
She joins the company from Ball Corp., most recently serving as chief human resources officer, where she was responsible for leading the end-to-end function globally. She also created the Ball Corp.’s first enterprise-wide learning university to strengthen and scale talent capabilities on a global basis.
Before Ball Corp., Panayiotou held several senior human resources leadership roles with global responsibility.
She was EVP and chief human resources officer at Graphic Packaging International. During her 13-year tenure at the Coca-Cola Co., Panayiotou served as global vice president and head of talent and development, and vice president, human resources for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
“I’m honored to join a company with such a rich legacy of delivering performance and care—care for consumers, customers, communities and, importantly, its people,” Panayiotou said. “I look forward to working with the team to build on that strong foundation and further enhance the capabilities of Kimberly-Clark’s talented workforce around the world.”
