Abstract: Previous electrochemically-powered yarn muscles cannot be usefully operated between extreme negative and extreme positive potentials, since strokes during electron injection and during hole injection partially cancel because they are in the same direction. Unipolar-stroke carbon nanotube yarn muscles are described in which muscle strokes are additive between extreme negative and extreme positive potentials, and stroke increases with potential scan rate. These electrochemical artificial muscles include an electrically conducting twisted or coiled yarn and a material that dramatically shifts the potential of zero charge of the electrochemically actuated yarn.

Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage medium, for processing parts using machine tool workstations. The machine tool workstations are grouped into multiple groups, where each group includes workstations of the same type. For each of the multiple groups, data representing parts to be processed by the type of workstations included in the group are transmitted to a combinatorial optimization problem solver. Data representing a sequence of ordered subsets of the multiple parts that produce a reduced setup time for the workstations in the group are received from the solver. An average delay time associated with the generated sequence of ordered subsets of the collection of parts is computed. If the average delay time is less than the predetermined threshold, parts are released according to the generated sequence of ordered subsets of the collection of parts to the group for processing.

If an instruction includes an indication of constant extension, the decoder employs bits of a constant extension instruction to extend the constant of an immediate field. Two or more constant extension slots are permitted in each execute packet, each extending constants for a different predetermined subset of functional unit instructions. In an alternative embodiment, more than one functional unit may have constants extended from the same constant extension instruction employing the same extended bits. A long extended constant may be formed using the extension bits of two constant extension instructions.

Single-event effect tolerant register
Patent No. 12267069

Inventor(s): David A. Grant (Dallas, TX), Noah C. Parker (Plano, TX)
Assignee(s): Apogee Semiconductor, Inc. (Plano, TX)
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 18923166 on 10/22/2024 (161 days app to issue)

Abstract: A resilient majority driver accepts triple-redundant input signals and provides a robust output signal unaffected by static errors on one of the input signals or by single-event transients caused by radiation within the driver. Data, clock, and asynchronous input signals to DICE (Dual Interlocked storage CEll) flip-flops in a register are driven by resilient majority drivers to construct an input-protected DICE register. Static errors are corrected using triple-redundant inputs and majority voting, while single-event strikes are largely corrected by the DICE architecture within each flip-flop and by the resilient majority drivers. Remaining errors in the input-protected DICE registers, such as those caused by single-event transients occurring during clock transitions, are corrected by error-correction encoders and decoders, whose output transients are suppressed by glitch filters. A resulting single-event effect tolerant register is more compact than a triple-redundant DICE register and requires no continuous external clock to correct errors.

Systems and methods for improving wireless mesh networks
Patent No. 12267901

Inventor(s): Muhammad Ahsan Naim (Irving, TX)
Assignee(s): L3VEL, LLC (Wilmington, DE)
Law Firm: Lee Sullivan Shea Smith LLP (2 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 18479145 on 10/02/2023 (547 days app to issue)

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a wireless mesh network comprised of ultra-high-capacity nodes that are capable of establishing ultra-high-capacity links (e.g., point-to-point or point-to-multipoint bi-directional communication links) using a millimeter wave spectrum, including but not limited to 28 Ghz, 39 Ghz, 37/42 Ghz, 60 Ghz (including V band), or E-band frequencies, as examples. The higher capacity and/or extended range of these ultra-high-capacity nodes/links may be achieved via various advanced signal processing techniques. Further, these ultra-high-capacity nodes/links may be used in conjunction with other types of point-to-point and/or point-to-multipoint links to build a multi-layer wireless mesh network.

Device address rotation method to protect against unconsented tracking
Patent No. 12267915

Inventor(s): Shankar Ramanathan (Richardson, TX)
Assignee(s): CISCO TECHNOLOGY, INC. (San Jose, CA)
Law Firm: Edell, Shapiro Finnan, LLC (2 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 17355686 on 06/23/2021 (1378 days app to issue)

Abstract: A network infrastructure component determines a risk measurement associated with a wireless client device’’s use of a device address, and provides an advisory with respect to an address rotation strategy of the wireless client device based on the risk measurement. In some embodiments, the risk measurement is based on one or more of an exposure, by the wireless client device, of information on the wireless network that identifies the wireless client device and/or a characterization of a security of the wireless network environment in which the wireless client device operates.
