Fort Worth commercial real estate firms Ellis & Tinsley Inc. and Vasseur Commercial Real Estate have merged to form Team & Vasseur Commercial Real Estate (TVCRE).
Charles “C.B.” Team and Nathan Vasseur, who will lead the merged firm, drove the merger and have taken the reins as partners at the new company.
The firm said that Vasseur, whose family has been a force in local real estate since the 1970s, has guided hundreds of office, retail, industrial, and land transactions.
Team is a fifth-generation Fort Worthian who spent nearly two decades advising clients on development, leasing, and property management.
The firm said that both partners are invested in Fort Worth’s future and serve on civic and nonprofit boards throughout the region, actively channeling time and resources back into the community.
“There are agents in our shop with 20, 30—even 50 years of experience,” Team said in a statement. “Our ‘least’ experienced agent has been in the field for almost a decade and knows all the ins-and-outs of commercial real estate in Fort Worth. Our clients know they can come to us to talk to experienced people with unmatched local knowledge.”
Focus on Fort Worth
Vasseur said the firm’s roots make it trusted in the area.
“C.B. and I share many of the same goals for this new company,” Vasseur said. “We want to be the firm Fort Worth businesses trust because we understand their market. At the same time, as a combined firm, we’re able to leverage newer technology and efficiencies that a larger office will always have over separate, competing offices. It’s the best of both worlds.”
The firm said it will operate from a newly renovated building at 4420 W Vickery Blvd, in the heart of West Fort Worth.
The building’s design features architecture from the Postmodern era with energy efficient upgrades and drought-tolerant native landscaping. The firm said that’s a nod to Team’s service on the Tarrant Regional Water District board of directors.
Relationships and reputation
Bill Ellis, founder of Ellis & Tinsley, will remain involved as an owner, while Vasseur and Team will take over management duties and lead the firm’s next phase of growth.
That growth will be focused on what Team calls the “three-legged stool” of brokerage, property management, and investment services.
“At TVCRE, we handle everything from small business leases, purchases, and management duties to syndicating investment property deals,” Team said. “Maybe you’re a newer business expanding out of co-working and looking to set up your first office, or a local medical group or retail entrepreneur—we can help you lease that space, buy that property, sell that property, whatever you need. We can do it for you.”
Vasseur said it’s all about relationships.
“At our core, we’re a local relationship company,” he said in a statement. “Fort Worth is a big city, but in one vital way, it’s still a small town. Relationships and reputation are at the heart of everything here. That’s why I’m proud to partner up with C.B.—he’s got a terrific, well-earned reputation. That’s critical when someone’s name is going to be on the door next to yours.”
Team said he and Vasseur see a bright future.
“We were always friendly competitors,” Team concluded. “But working side-by-side we’ve realized we share the same values and the same vision for strategic growth. I’m excited about what comes next—for us, our team, our clients, and for Fort Worth.”
