Abstract: A shifting tool including a flow sleeve having a fluidic diode to facilitate flow from an exterior port to an interior port along the flow sleeve and restrict flow in the opposite direction. In a first configuration of the shifting tool, a flow path extends from the exterior of a case, via the exterior port, along the flow sleeve, and, via the interior port, to a flow bore of an operating mandrel. Upon exposure to a pressure differential between a cavity in which the flow sleeve is positioned and the flow bore above a threshold pressure differential, a shear pin breaks, such that the shifting tool assumes the second configuration. In the second configuration, the operating mandrel has shifted longitudinally whereby a snap ring extends into a recess or groove in an outside surface of the operating mandrel, to hold the operating mandrel in the second configuration.

Low latency streaming remapping engine
Patent No. 12112399

Inventor(s): Mihir Narendra Mody (Bengaluru, , IN), Niraj Nandan (Plano, TX), Rajasekhar Reddy Allu (Plano, TX)
Assignee(s): TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INCORPORATED (Dallas, TX)
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 17520861 on 11/08/2021 (1065 days app to issue)

Abstract: A lens distortion correction function operates by backmapping output images to the uncorrected, distorted input images. As a vision image processor completes processing on the image data lines needed for the lens distortion correction function to operate on a group of output, undistorted image lines, the lens distortion correction function begins processing the image data. This improves image processing pipeline delays by overlapping the operations. The vision image processor provides output image data to a circular buffer in SRAM, rather than providing it to DRAM. The lens distortion correction function operates from the image data in the circular buffer. By operating from the SRAM circular buffer, access to the DRAM for the highly fragmented backmapping image data read operations is removed, improving available DRAM bandwidth. By using a circular buffer, less space is needed in the SRAM. The improved memory operations further improve the image processing pipeline delays.

Inventor(s): Ashish Ojha (Bangalore, , IN), Ganapathi Hegde (Bengaluru, , IN), Krishnamurthy Shankar (Bangalore, , IN), Priyank Anand (Bangalore, , IN), Siddhartha Gopal Krishna (Bengaluru, , IN)
Assignee(s): TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INCORPORATED (Dallas, TX)
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 17397133 on 08/09/2021 (1156 days app to issue)

Abstract: A control circuit regulates the propagation delay of a field effect transistor (FET) before the FET transitions to the Miller region by applying a pre-charge current for a fixed duration to the gates of the FET. After the fixed duration, the current is reduced to a lower drive current level which is based on a desired output voltage slew rate. After the FET transitions to the Miller region, the output voltage slews down in accordance with the output voltage slew rate. By regulating the slew-rate of the output voltage in the Miller region and regulating the propagation delay of the FET prior to the Miller region, the control circuit reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI) caused by the switching of the FET, thereby improving electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of switch mode driver systems without increasing the propagation delay of the FET.

Abstract: A system on a chip (SOC) is configured to support multiple time domains within a time-sensitive networking (TSN) environment. TSN extends Ethernet networks to support a deterministic and high-availability communication on Layer 2 (data link layer of open system interconnect ”OSI” model) for time coordinated capabilities such as industrial automation and control applications. Processors in a system may have an application time domain separate from the communication time domain. In addition, each type time domain may also have multiple potential time masters to drive synchronization for fault tolerance. The SoC supports multiple time domains driven by different time masters and graceful time master switching. Timing masters may be switched at run-time in case of a failure in the system. Software drives the SoC to establish communication paths through a sync router to facilitate communication between time providers and time consumers. Multiple time sources are supported.

Abstract: A radio access network sends, to a mobile device, information indicating a cell on a first carrier of a first type and a cell on a second carrier of a second type, and sends, to the mobile device, configuration information regarding whether the mobile device is to connect with a cell on another carrier of a new carrier type. The radio access network sends, to the mobile device, information relating to a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) configuration that is specific to a type of carrier.

Methods for balancing resources utilized in random-access procedures
Patent No. 12114363

Inventor(s): Robert Mark Harrison (Grapevine, TX)
Assignee(s): Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ) (Stockholm, , SE)
Law Firm: Murphy, Bilak Homiller, PLLC (1 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 17765111 on 11/05/2020 (1433 days app to issue)

Abstract: Embodiments include methods for user equipment (UE) random access to a cell in a wireless network. Such methods include selecting one of a plurality of available random-access preambles and mapping the selected random-access preamble to one of a plurality of available physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resource units (PRUs) based on a mapping constraint. In the mapping constraint, one or more of the available PRUs are not used for the mapping and an integer number of the available random-access preambles are mapped to each of the available PRUs that are used for the mapping. Such methods also include transmitting the selected random-access preamble on a random access channel (RACH) and transmitting a data message on the PRU mapped to the selected random-access preamble. Other embodiments include complementary methods for a network node, as well as UEs and network nodes configured to perform such methods.
