The globally released “CatVideoFest 2024” will pop up in two Dallas theaters this weekend, with screenings at the Texas Theatre in Oak Cliff and at Violet Crown Cinema in Dallas’ West Village.
Presented by Oscilloscope Laboratories, “CatVideoFest 2024” is a compilation of “the latest and best cat videos culled from countless hours of unique submissions and sourced animations, music videos, and classic internet powerhouses.”
Here’s a trailer:
The producers note that each year, local theaters across the country partner with nearby cat-focused charities, animal welfare associations and shelters alike, with a portion of ticket proceeds from each show going directly to local cats in need.
The Texas Theatre screenings will be 7:15 Friday Aug. 2; 3 p.m. Saturday Aug. 3; and 3:20 p.m. Sunday Aug. 4.
The Violet Crown screenings will be at 12 noon on Saturday Aug. 3 and Sunday Aug. 4. A dollar from every ticket sold will be donated to the Santa Fe Humane Society.
