Patent No. 11925435
Inventor(s): Glen Freeman (Plano, TX), Grant E. Kenworthy (Allen, TX), Greg R. Basile (Dallas, TX), Henley S. Quadling (Dallas, TX), Justin G. Graham (Wylie, TX), Mark S. Quadling (Plano, TX), Rod A. Duncan (Lucas, TX), Ye Li (Pla
Assignee(s): D4D Technologies, LLC (Richardson, TX)
Law Firm: Scheef Stone, LLP (Local)
Application No., Date, Speed: 17836606 on 06/09/2022 (642 days app to issue)
Abstract: An intra-oral scanning device includes a light source and an optical system, and communicates with a display system. The device provides for more efficient transmission and capture of images. It integrates OCT scanning with RGB-based scanning. In operation, the device is used for recording topological characteristics of teeth, dental impressions, or stone models by digital methods and for use in CAD/CAM of dental restorative prosthetic devices. To that end, the RGB-based scan obtains surface data (e.g., a margin), while the OCT scan penetrates the surface. The two scanners operate from within the same physical housing and preferably at the same time such that only one scanning pass (to obtain all necessary data) is required. The 3D data obtained from the OCT scan is registered with the 3D data obtained from the RGB-based scan by virtue of being captured using a common return path. Preferably, the 3D surface data is used to align the volume data, such that the OCT scan operates over a much sparser scanning volume than would otherwise be required if the OCT scan were carried out separately. In this manner, there is less stitching of data required to build the output images, thereby enabling a ”one-pass” operation.

Temporal differential sensing structure for vibrating gyroscope
Patent No. 11927443
Inventor(s): Andrea Lorenzo Vitali (San Jose, CA)
Assignee(s): STMicroelectronics, Inc. (Coppell, TX)
Law Firm: Seed IP Law Group LLP (1 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 17881470 on 08/04/2022 (586 days app to issue)
Abstract: A microelectromechanical device is provided. A vibrating structure gyroscope included in the device employs a temporal differential sensing method alone or a spatial differential sensing method in combination with the temporal differential sensing method. When used in combination, the temporal sensing method may be applied before the spatial sensing method or applied after the spatial sensing method. The temporal differential sensing samples signals at times t1 and t2 when velocity of a sensing mass within the vibrating structure gyroscope is maximum and has an opposite sign. The temporal sensing method improves Euler and Centrifugal forces cancellation and increases the signal to noise ratio if forces remain equal at times t1 and t2. Applying a high sampling speed can result in times t1 and t2 being sufficiently close to each other and therefore cancel any error terms associated with Euler and Centrifugal forces.

Abstract: Introduced herein is a program counter advancing technique that uses NOP padding without its limitations. During a build process, the introduced technique removes EOG markers for instruction groups that are immediately followed by the NOP instructions that are immediately followed by an instruction group beginning at a start of a cache line. As such, during an execution process, when the processing unit detects an absence of an EOG marker in the requested instruction group, it knows that a group of NOP instructions are about to follow and skips over them by directly advancing the program counter to a start of a subsequent cache line where the next instruction group starts. In addition to the presence of an EOG marker, the introduced technique also takes into account whether the requested instruction group is a straddling group when advancing the program counter to a start of the subsequent cache line.

Abstract: A charge pump test configuration and corresponding method of operation are disclosed for determining charge pump efficiency without needing to obtain direct current measurements. A first number of clock edges (CEs) of a clock signal supplied to a first charge pump is determined over a period of time for a predetermined output current. The first charge pump is then connected with a charge pump under test (PUT) in a cascaded manner such that an output current of the first charge pump is supplied to the PUT as an input current. A second number of CEs of a clock signal supplied to the first charge pump is determined over the same period of time for the same predetermined output current from the PUT. The efficiency of the PUT can then be determined as the ratio of the first number of CEs to the second number of CEs, or vice versa.

Abstract: Techniques are described for transaction-based read and write operations in a distributed system. In an embodiment, an authorization protocol overlaid onto a transaction to control access to each of the data pools. Using the techniques described herein, the DTRS provides authorization mechanism to ensure that the entity, which hosts the data pool, may only access the data set from an originating entity based at least upon the access rules of the originating entity set for the data set. Additionally, the DTRS”s read/write transactions keep the data pools of the DTRS in synch with each other, so each data pool stores the same data sets as another data pool of the DTRS. When a data integrity service of an entity generates a new data entry from a user transaction with a client application, a new write request is generated for the DTRS to which the data integrity service belongs. The DTRS receives the data entry and its metadata from the data integrity service and performs steps to update all data pool of the DTRS, in an embodiment.

The processor determines passthrough traffic including a subset of data packets routed between radio nodes of the mesh network through the gateway based on the source address and the destination address of each data packet and an address associated with the gateway. The processor determines a passthrough data capacity based on the payload of each data packet in the subset and determines a metric based on the passthrough data capacity to signify an amount of mesh network bandwidth provided by the integrated roofing mesh network node.

Intent-driven network analytics for predictive network slice management
Patent No. 11930390
Inventor(s): Michael Anthony Brown (McKinney, TX)
Assignee(s): Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLC (Redmond, WA)
Law Firm: ARENTFOX SCHIFF LLP (no location found)
Application No., Date, Speed: 17741026 on 05/10/2022 (672 days app to issue)
Abstract: Described are examples for providing intent based network slice management using a management data analytics function (MDAF) to predict deficiencies. A network management system receives an intent for a network slice constituent. The network management system configures computing resources for the network slice constituent to satisfy the intent based on expected performance of the computing resources. The network management system receives feedback with respect to actual performance of the network slice constituent. The network management system determines, based on analysis of the feedback by a management data analytics function (MDAF), a predicted deficiency of the network slice constituent not being able to satisfy the intent. The network management system modifies the configuration of the computing resources based on the feedback and the predicted deficiency to satisfy the intent.
