Frisco-based Sonar Software has named Ray Bixler as chief executive officer.
Bixler will lead the Sonar team in providing comprehensive customer lifecycle management technology for internet service providers while continuing to boost growth and momentum in the fiber and hybrid ISP markets, the company said. Sonar’s cloud-based platform boasts a suite of essential features for internet service providers’ day-to-day operations and aims to reduce the need for multiple systems.
“I’m honored to have the opportunity to guide Sonar into its next phase of its growth journey,” the new CEO said in a statement. “With our well-established track record of achievement and a renewed focus on innovation and exceptional customer service, we are ideally poised to consistently surpass the expectations of wireless, fiber, and hybrid internet service providers. Collaborating with our dedicated team, we aim to establish new benchmarks within the industry and provide unmatched value to our clients.”
Bixler has 16 years of experience as a SaaS CEO and 11 years in the telecom industry, serving in leadership roles at a number of companies, including SkyTel, RCN, and most recently, SkillSurvey.
Sonar said that Bixler’s vision is rooted in building a team culture that is “highly collaborative, empathic, transparent, and humble,” while providing exceptional customer service, driving innovation in the industry, and spurring the company’s next stage of growth.
The new CEO helps position Sonar for “unparalleled growth, innovation, and excellence” in its mission of serving the changing needs of WISPs, fiber, and hybrid ISPs, the company said.
Offering a platform with a range of mission-critical features for day-to-day work of ISPs, Sonar Software is a cloud-based provider of BSS (business support systems) and OSS (operations support systems) solutions.
