RingCentral—a California-based provider of AI-powered global enterprise cloud communications—says it “make it easy to call, message, and meet with employees, customers, and everyone in between.” Well, a lot of the company’s calls have been answered lately at its new office in Addison.
Christened with an employee celebration and BBQ sampling in late May, the RingCentral Addison office at 14675 Dallas Parkway is now officially open. The office has over 35,000 square feet and features Texas-themed murals throughout. It also offers multiple wellness rooms, a ground-floor kitchen, and a social area. The building that houses it—known as Tollway Center—offers a fitness center, a rooftop deck with outdoor seating, and an on-site cafe.
Over 125 employees are currently based out of the office, with an additional 30% headcount growth projected by the end of the year, RingCentral said.
Founded in 1999, RingCentral had $1 billion in assets in 2022 and $1.2 billion in revenue in 2020. Its solution combines messaging, video conferencing, and phone calls into one unified platform.
Addison office complements three other U.S. locations
RingCentral’s new Addison office complements its three other U.S. locations in Belmont, California; Denver, CO; and Charlotte, N.C. The new Addison location will serve as a second hub for RingCentral’s Customer Success and Support team, the company said.
“Our Dallas office provides us with a great location to serve our customers and an opportunity for our teams to collaborate in person while continuing to provide flexible work arrangements,” Parvesh Sethi, SVP of Professional Services, said in a company blog post.
A Texas-themed sense of presence
RingCentral employees who walk into the Addison office will definitely know where they are. Besides the Texas maps and cowboy hat-wearing longhorn steers painted on the walls, their copy machines are even named “Ribs” and “Brisket.”
Perks are on tap, too. Lunch is catered and delivered daily for the entire staff along with snacks and refreshments, and a large kitchen area features a ping-pong table “where employees regularly challenge each other to friendly competition,” according to the blog post.
Growing the Addison head count
Megan Moore, RingCentral’s Senior Manager of Advanced Support Operations, relocated from Denver to join the new Addison office. She’s now looking to UT Austin and beyond to help grow the office’s head count.
What is RingCentral looking for in its new Addison employees?
“A top thing for me is empathy for our customers,” Moore said in the blog post. “We’re not here to just fix something and leave. We are here to make sure that they are having a great experience with RingCentral as an application and as a product. That all starts with empathy.”
“We are constantly changing and upgrading and updating,” she added. “You have to have a constant thirst for knowledge along with the ability to learn and pivot as we change, we are a growing organization.”
New hires take advantage of open collaboration areas
Sethi said many new hires “are already taking advantage of being in the office, connecting with more established employees while learning about our company culture.”
“I love the fact that we have so many open collaboration areas for our cross-functional team members to come together and brainstorm ideas,” Sethi added in the blog post.
