Samsung HVAC America is the North American HQ for Samsung’s heating and cooling products—including innovations like The Hylex, a compact, “game changing” outdoor unit that’s compatible with virtually any existing HVAC system without the need for new wires, lines sets, or piping.
This week, the company announced it’s not just innovating—it’s growing. Until now, it has been headquartered in 228,000 square feet of Alliance Gateway 55, a sprawling AllianceTexas industrial building in the northeast Fort Worth suburb of Roanoke. Moving forward, the company will now occupy the building’s entire 360,000 square feet.
The facility is Samsung HVAC’s primary distribution center for channels throughout the U.S. and Canada.
“Samsung HVAC has seen tremendous growth over the past few years and we’re excited that AllianceTexas will continue to be an integral part of their success story,” Reid Goetz, SVP of Hillwood, said in a statement. Hillwood is the Dallas-based company that developed the 27,000-acre, master-planned AllianceTexas mixed-use community.
“Samsung is a global leader in the HVAC business and the AllianceTexas location offers them tremendous value and an ongoing ability to expand, while maintaining direct access to their customer base throughout North America,” Goetz added.
Location, location
For a North American HQ, location and logistics are big keys, and apparently both are paying off for Samsung at Alliance Gateway 55. It’s located within AllianceTexas’ transportation infrastructure platform, which includes the AllianceTexas Mobility Innovation Zone (MIZ), Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport, and BNSF Railway’s Alliance Intermodal Facility.
Located along SH 170 just a few miles from I-35W, Samsung HVAC’s location gives it streamlined highway connectivity and airport access within North Texas, along with close proximity to AllianceTexas shipping options including the FedEx Ground Hub, two UPS Ground Sort Hubs, FedEx Express Southwest Regional Air Hub, and the Amazon Air Regional Hub.
Mark Becker, Jay Benner, Adam Cooke and Lou D’Avanzo of Cushman & Wakefield represented Samsung in the transaction. Samuel Rhea and Reid Goetz of Hillwood represented Hillwood.
