Kanarys and MAC Diversity Recruiters have entered into a strategic partnership to assist organizations in building more diverse and inclusive workplaces.
Kanarys is a Dallas-based diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, or DEIB, technology company focused on providing the tools organizations need to create systemic change around DEIB challenges. MAC Diversity Recruiters, headquartered in Frisco, is a boutique recruitment firm specializing in diverse executive search and staffing.
“At Kanarys, we believe we can make a real impact in workplaces everywhere by leveraging DEIB data and collaboration between companies and employees,” Kanarys co-founder and CEO Mandy Price said in a statement. “We’re thankful to partner with MAC Diversity Recruiters, who share our value in promoting workplace DEIB, and together, we’ll ensure companies are reflective of their communities and workplaces are inclusive and equitable for all employees.”
The companies said their partnership highlights the importance of working together to build diverse, equitable, and inclusive teams.
Partnering for a more holistic approach to DEI
“We’re thrilled to partner with Kanarys to deliver a more holistic approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion,” MAC Diversity Recruiters COO Brook Sims said in a statement. “This partnership will enable our clients to move beyond traditional diversity metrics to measure the impact of their DEI initiatives and advance our shared mission of creating more equitable and inclusive workplaces.”
Kanarys is a leader in data-driven DEIB solutions, and its technology platform includes first-of-its-kind products such as the Equity Innovation Solution and Organizational Systems Assessment.
The companies said that by leveraging Kanarys’ platform and MAC Diversity Recruiters’ recruitment expertise, organizations can attract and retain top talent by focusing on diverse representation, improving employee engagement and productivity, and driving better business outcomes.
Working with mid-size enterprises and Fortune 500 companies, Kanarys said it transforms DEIB work with data by providing the framework, benchmarking, and solutions companies need to incorporate best-in-class DEIB into every area of the organization.
Like a canary in the coal mine, Kanarys helps organizations provide healthy workplaces by highlighting “DEIB blindspots” before they become problems.
MAC Diversity Recruiters specializes in diverse executive search and staffing with the goal of helping companies build high-performing, diverse teams through inclusive recruitment practices.
Funding to expand team and tech
Kanarys recently raised $5 million in a Series A funding round led by Chicago’s Seyen Capital. The startup has raised $10.5 million in total funding to date, making Price one of fewer than 20 Black female founders who’ve raised more than $10 million, Kanarys said.
The new funding round also included Portfolia Rising America, Rackhouse Venture Capital, Revolution’s Rise of the Rest Seed Fund, StartFast Ventures, TechNexus Venture Collaborative, and Tech Square Ventures.
Kanarys says the funding has enabled it to recruit and appoint six new leaders focused on DEIB, engineering, finance, operations, product marketing, and sales to its executive team.
The funding will also be used to further expand Kanarys’ DEIB technology platform.
