John Hancock calls Parasanti “the blue-collar analytics company”: It delivers AI and machine learning solutions to people who work hard.

Co-founded by Hancock in 2019, Dallas-based Parasanti provides analytics tools for the defense, agriculture, oil and gas, and (soon) space industries.

Hancock says its analytics tool for agriculture saved farmers more than 360 million gallons of water in the last year, with the goal to save a trillion by 2024. The company strives to deliver sustainable agriculture and environmental help that’s never been seen before.

Before co-founding Parasanti, Hancock served as the chief architect for Hewlett Packard’s public sector accounts, delivering DoD products designed to maximize mission success.

He and Parasanti co-founder Joshua Seagroves, a veteran and former NSA data analyst, both had roots in ranching and farming, making the defense and ag solutions innovator a natural new fit.

The company is growing this year, adding employees and customers and gaining traction in defense innovation. That also includes new projects with the Air Force and oil and gas companies. Hancock says the company has secured new work with both the Navy and Special Operations Command, and will be announcing a partnership with a major energy company in the near future.

Parasanti is also launching an expansion into space with a brand new division.

Sharing in a $950 million DoD contract

Most recently, Parasanti—along with Texas-based Hypergiant Industries and 27 other companies—was picked for a $950 million ceiling indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the Department of Defense.

The contract is part of a multiple award, multi-level security effort to provide development and operation of systems as a unified force across all domains (air, land, sea, space, cyber, and electromagnetic spectrum). The aim is an open architecture family of systems that enables capabilities in multiple integrated platforms.

These are major moves for 2021 after the company had to use its solutions to track and monitor COVID outbreaks last year. The team worked entirely remotely—seeing 25 percent improved productivity—while supporting employees and donating to their favorite HBCUs to drive change in the community.

“Parasanti is expanding quickly and always looking to hire,” Hancock says. “The commercial side of the business will be pursuing a raise before the end of the year, and we’ll continue to grow the business on the defense side as rapidly as we can.”
